Tennis Geelong Competition

Tennis Geelong offer a number of different competition formats to suit players of all levels and abilities. Read through the competitions on offer below to see what suits you.

Saturday Morning Juniors- A Summer and a Winter season offered with matches commencing at either 8am, 9am or 10am depending on the venue. Junior Competition format consists of four player teams playing first to six games in Girls and Boys Sections. Green Stage competition sections for younger players have parents assistance allowing kids to learn how to play matches before progressing to Yellow Ball formats. The introduction of Premier Sections ensures there is something suitable for Performance players. Premier Sections are teams of 2 to 4 players, comprising of 2 Best of 2 set singles and 1 first to 8 doubles rubber.

Saturday Afternoon Seniors- The Association conducts a senior competition held on Saturday afternoons commencing at 1.30pm in Summer Winter. Competition formats provided include Two male, two female teams playing 6 six game tie break sets comprising four mixed doubles, one women’s doubles and one men’s doubles. Four male teams playing 6 six game tie break sets comprising six men’s doubles. Three open player teams playing four best-of-two set with a ten-point tiebreaker for the third rubbers, with two being singles and two being double.

Tuesday Midweek Ladies- The midweek competition is held on Tuesday Mornings commencing at 10am. This competition provides 4-6 women teams, playing 6 six game tie break sets, comprising six women’s doubles. The Midweek Summer competition runs from February to June and the Winter competition runs from July to November with no play during school holidays.

Monday Night Women's- A 10 week season with one additional week of finals for the top two teams, running at 7pm Monday nights. Teams will be made up of 4 players, each playing 2 x 8 game sets, for 4 sets total for the match.

Thursday Night Triples- Thursday Triples is played at 7pm on a Thursday night. Open Gender Singles and Doubles. Teams of 3 (Men and/or Women), each player playing one set of Singles and two of Doubles
