BSA Next Gen Squad

Providing a pathway and creating more opportunities for the younger tennis athletes, 14 years and younger in the Geelong region. This pathway will hopefully create and give insight into future High Performance Squads (BSA), high level UTR tournaments, ITF events, US College and leading into ATP/WTA Pro Events

Working with the Barwon Sports Academy, the Next Gen Squad will provide an opportunity for he next generation of tennis talent in Geelong, 14 years and under, to train together developing their skills to advance to the Barwon Sports Academy 18 & under program.

How do I get selected?

Trials are held in conjunction with the Barwon Sports Academy. Players that are unsuccessful in being selected for the BSA and meet the Next Gen selection criteria may be selected.

Selection Criteria:

- 14 years or under
- Was not selected into the BSA
- Tournament/Event Results and Participation
- Tennis Victoria Associations Junior Pennant Grade
- Participate in Barwon Regional Teams Event
- Tennis Geelong Summer/Winter grade and results.
- UTR Rating
- Weekly coaching

What does the Next Gen Squad entail?

- 12 month program, 6 sessions per term (weeks available for washouts)
- Friday night 4.30pm till 6.00pm at Hamlyn Park Tennis Club lead by Matt

- 1 x Strength and Conditioning and Hydration Information session
- 1 x Tournament Support trip
